Personal

Christopher was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1967.  He completed his high school education at Our Lady of the Lakes High School in suburban Detroit.  Foremost, he and his wife, Kris, are the proud parents of a daughter, Alexandra.  A committed athlete, he spent his college years as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.  Aside from spending every possible waking moment with  his daughter, he now enjoys travel, scuba diving, sailing and swimming.  He serves on the boards of several charitable organizations and is the appointed advocate for the Knights of Columbus Council 772 in Pensacola, Florida.  The Johnson family attends St. Ann's Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where Chris is the Chairman of the Parish Council.

Admitted to practice  in Florida and federal courts in 1971; elected County Judge for Escambia County, Florida 1989-2005; and Senior Judge, State of Florida, 2005.

Former Partnerships and Associations

Employed in varying capacities with various Florida environmental agencies 1973-1981, including Enforcement Administrator of Florida Dept. of Environmental Regulation; consumer fraud, misdemeanor and felony prosecutor with the State Attorney's Office, First Circuit of Florida from 1981-1988; and in private practice with Ray, Kievit & Kelly, 1988.

Prior law experience included criminal prosecution and interaction with and/or complex civil and administrative litigation against various federal agencies on behalf of the State of Florida on issues including offshore oil drilling, supertankers, ocean dumping and nuclear power.

A former judge, Mr. White, has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1971 and the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association since 1981.  Since 1989, he has served as Parliamentarian and District Vice President as well as on the Board of Directors and several comittees of the Conference of County Court Judges.  He also served on the Governor's Local Task Force on Juvenile Crime & Delinquency and the Chief Justice's Judicial Workload (Delphi) Study Committee.  Over the years, Mr. White has authored many publications and has been the recipient of numerous honors, prizes and awards.

Personal

Mr. White was born in Reno, Nevada in 1945.  He was raised in Pensacola, Florida and married Peggy Fell, M.S.W., in 1970.  He recently retired as Operations Director of Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen.  He and his wife have five children and seven grandchildren.  He is very active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee.  He is also a Member of the Board of Alpha Center (for pregnancy counseling) in Pensacola, Florida and various University of Notre Dame alumni clubs.
